(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - Terrorist Omar Shamma and Abdulkarim Adel al-Mbayyed confessed to participating in crimes perpetrated by armed terrorists groups in the city of Hama, including attacking the Hama Officers Club, killing the people in it and looting it, in addition to shooting an abducted citizen, beheading him and dumping his body in Orontes River.
In televised confessions broadcast by the Syrian TV, terrorist Ali Omar Shamma from the town of al-Salamiya in Hama said that he was approached two months ago by a friend of his father's named Abu Mohammad Bakkour who has a criminal record, and that Bakkour asked him to come with him and learn how to send videos to satellite channels, with the two heading to Hama to meet the person who will teach Shamma how o send videos.
Shamma said that after attending the sunset prayers in a mosque and wandering the city for a while, they met with a group of over 10 hooded people who held a civilian captive, with Bakkour greeting the hooded men and asking Shamma to fetch a sword and a gun from his car, which he did.
He said that Bakkour equipped the gun with a silencer he produced from his pocket and ordered him to shoot the civilian for associating with the government, saying "I told him that I don't want to do that… one of the hooded men came up from behind me and said that I must have a strong hard in order to be a man, then another hooded man put the gun in my hand and shot the man in his sides."
Shamma said that he fired another bullet that didn't hit the man, causing Bakkour to tell him to go to the car, which prompted two hooded men to escort him to it, adding "I looked back and saw him draw the sword and cut off the abducted man's head."
He pointed out that on the way back, Bakkour told him that he cut the abducted man's body to pieces and dumped them in the river, chiding him and telling him that he isn't a strong man like his father who participated in two similar operations.
Shamma added that his father came into a lot of money during trips to Saudi Arabia, and that he brought with him a Thuraya satellite phone to communicate with people there.
Terrorist Abdulkarim Adel al-Mbayyed, born in Hama in 1984 and working in decoration, said that he was present when an armed terrorist group attacked the Officers Club in Hama, saying that armed men surrounded the Club from all sides while around 200 people stood behind them.
He said that the group carried a lot of weapons including AK-47 rifles, pump-action shotguns, pistols, and Molotov cocktails, and that they started opening fire on the club to scare those inside, then used the Molotov cocktails to burn down the Club, leaving the entrance clear, which the gunmen used to gain access to the second floor.
Al-Mbayyed said that some of the personnel in the Club surrendered and were taken prisoners, while those who resisted were murdered, identifying two of the gunmen as Bilal Baroudi who carried an AK-47 and Anas Khabbaz who carried a pistol.
He said that the Club's personnel tried to defend it byt were overwhelmed by the large number of gunmen, adding "after it was over, we entered the club and looted it."
